When visiting a new country, obtaining a visa is necessary. In Indonesia, travellers can choose between a Visa on Arrival (VoA) or a Tourist Visit Visa (B211A). For those staying 30 days or less, the VoA is recommended, which can be extended once for an additional 30 days, giving a total stay permit of 60 days. If opting for the Tourist Visit Visa, visitors can stay for up to 60 days, which can be extended up to four times for an additional 30 days each, allowing a total stay of 180 days. To apply for a visa, simply visit the Indonesian Immigration website.

If you plan to rent a vehicle and drive yourself in Bali, it’s recommended to have an international driving license. This will make it easier for you to obtain a rental permit. However, if you don’t have an international license, you can still use a valid driver’s license from your home country and an international driving permit to drive in Bali. Alternatively, you can also use public transportation or order online for convenience.
